I have had mine for 4 years and it still works like new. I went through a boat load of "EL-CHEAPO" vaporizers and spent close to this on them, most burn the herb and do not vaporize it, smoking is great for getting high & wasting herb but the Volcano saves herb and only a pinch is necessary, great for Pain Management, I went from 8 Oxycontin's a day to 1 or none per day and the only difference is now I vaporize instead of smoking my medicinal herb, plus you only need a small pinch to get the same effect as a whole joint and vapor is non cancer causing like smoke can be. Start at 2 1/2 on the dial & go 1/2 a turn at a time until you get to 6 at the highest or until it tastes like herbal brownies, I start at 2.5 & go up to 4.5 with killer results. The S&B Volcano Warranty is 3 years with fast turn around & my repair was because my dog knocked it over braking a switch & S&B fixed it free of charge even though I admitted my carelessness to them. :)
